The new Santa Fe Community Convention Center, opened in late summer, 2008, makes the city an even more desirable venue for meeting professionals and organizations of all sizes. The 72,500-square-foot convention center has more than 40,000 square-feet of exhibit space and features state-of-the-art audio/visual capabilities on par with the nation's other great convention and conferencing facilities.

Located in the heart of Santa Fe's thriving downtown, the Santa Fe Community Convention Center lies within walking distance of some of the world's finest restaurants, museums and shopping, as well as 1,500 hotel rooms. For those who choose to stay at one of the numerous other lodging options within short driving distance, the center includes a 512-vehicle underground parking garage.

The Santa Fe Community Convention Center occupies a location seeped in history: artifacts found on the land on which the new convention center sits are said to date back to the 13th century. Excavations have revealed that ancient pueblos lie underneath. To learn more about the archaelogical and historic roots of America's oldest capital city, read about the Santa Fe Found - Fragments of Time exhibit at the Palace of the Governors/New Mexico History Museum, on view through May 21, 2011 .

Santa Fe, with all it has to offer, is already a meeting venue like no other. With the addition of the new Santa Fe Community Convention Center, meeting professionals have even more opportunity than ever to plan group meeting experiences that could happen in no other place than Santa Fe.
